Wallerawang Power Station

Our client Liberty Industrial are an award winning provider of specialist decommissioning, deconstruction, remediation, civil contracting and industrial services. 

They had a requirement for concrete sawing and coring services for the demolition of the Wallerawang Power Station, just near Lithgow.

Align-A-Cut provided a variety of concrete cutting & drilling services to assist with the demolition process - including:

• Wire Sawing to square the stack openings to allow fitting of the steel supports
• Core Drilling near 800 holes for placement of the explosives!
• Hand Sawing heel cuts in the back of the stacks to sever the outer steel reinforcement
